It’s Wednesday. Which means it’s not Friday. Which means you shouldn’t be getting an email from me.
And to that, I say two things:
Sorry.
Thank you!
I’ve been humbled by the response Agora has gotten. To everyone who has signed up, sent a kind message, or has in some way promoted this independent writing experiment — words cannot express how appreciative I am.
For years, my writing had an audience of one very kind and patient girlfriend (thank you Becca). And now it’s exposed to a ton of old friends and kind strangers — growing every single day.
Unlike a fleeting “like” or “retweet,” every email signup I get means something. It’s an invitation to enter your world, if for only a few minutes a week. I don’t take that lightly.
So, again, thank you.
Not to get all Wikipedia on you, but if everyone shared this project with one person — someone who appreciates short fiction, or sci-fi, or independent writing — we’d have enough subscribers to fill a small island.
It’d be an extremely small island. Like this 🏝.
Would you consider sharing?
